After 1-hr meeting with President Suleiman, the opposition delegation: President will play a positive role

The national opposition delegation left the presidential palace in Beiteddine at around 11:15 a.m. after a meeting with the President of the Republic for nearly an hour.

Minister Gebran Bassil, spoke on behalf of the delegation. He reiterated the opposition's position of refusal and censure of the act the Prime Minister-designate committed in presenting a de facto government to the President of the Republic.

Bassil clarified that the opposition was and still is positive about communication and dialogue to reach a government of accord, reiterating his description that what the PM-designate committed is "immoral."

MP Ali Hassan Khalil in a chat with reporters after the meeting revealed that President Suleiman will play a positive role in the framework of efforts to reach a consensus government.
