According to Ma'an news agency, Security forces in Al Quds (Jerusalem) intend to tighten security in the Old City for the celebration of the 27th day of Ramadan, Laylat Al-Qadr.

Large numbers of "Israeli" soldiers will be posted in the Old City, and cars will not be permitted to enter during the celebration which marks the day Muslims believe the first verses of the holy Qur'an were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

According to "Israeli" sources the security measures are being taken to facilitate what is expected to be an especially large number of worshipers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers on Wednesday night.
