Deputy Secretary General of Hizbullah Sheikh Naim Qassem said "no solution to the question of Palestine under the ‘two-state solution' slogan, furthermore, we do not want the Arab leaders to support Palestine, but all we want of them is not to conspire against it." He clarified that the Palestinian people are able to liberate their Quds (Jerusalem) and this will be done God willing.

He added "Palestine today is going through the most dangerous of phases in its history because of the international conspiracy against it, also because of the prevalent slumber towards it in both Arab and Islamic worlds and due to the discord among the Palestinians."

Sheikh Qassem spoke during an Iftar (Fast breaking meal) hosted by the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Reza Sheibani, in the presence of a crowd of religious scholars, political figures, the representative of Speaker Nabih Berri, MP Ali Hassan Khalil, a group of clerics, and prominent Islamic, Lebanese national and Palestinian factions figures, where he referred to the large headlines put forward by Imam Khomeini (May God honour his soul) for ‘Al-Quds International Day', which he wanted as an international day for the world's oppressed in face of the arrogant forces and a day for Islamic unity.
