Raad: The dialogue table cannot substitute the constitutional institutions
Hizbollah Site Staff, 18-09-2009
Head of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad, told "As-safir" Lebanese daily that "All the constitutional preliminaries to form a national unity government, according to the 15-10-5 allocations formula, are already in place; this is why I think it is the required priority. Regarding the dialogue subject, we have always been with the national dialogue", adding that "the suggestion, that in light of the continued absence of government, efforts are made to call for the dialogue table to convene, is a serious suggestion."
Raad said "The dialogue table cannot substitute the constitutional institution (the cabinet) but to the contrary, dialogue is important, given that it is preceded by the formation of a national unity government, whereby the Prime Minister can take upon himself before the rest of the participating parties, the implementation of decisions unanimously agreed upon by the dialogue participants."
