Fayyad: There is no option to form a new government other than the option of national unity government

During an Iftar (Fast breaking meal) in Marjeyoun, member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad, saw that the "Prime Minister-designate is required to take a step forward, the opposition -as always- will deal with the issue responsibly and positively, we do not intend on escalation or tensioning of rhetoric, we are ready to meet the PM-designate half way to discuss a solution to the problem the homeland is facing."

He pointed out that "there is no other way or option to form a new government, but the option of national unity government, based on 15-5-10 formula. All talk about other directions is unrealistic and irresponsible."

About fears of street escalations, he said "We call for keeping the situation within its political format; there is no reason to launch speculations or concerns here or there."

MP Fayyad pointed out that "The implicit or explicit allusion to options other than the option of a national accord government is a matter meant for intimidation, an unfortunate tactic that has not served political stability, nor assisted in accelerating or resolving the current issue."
