Rallies in commemoration of Al Quds International day took place in different parts of the world as a reminder to the whole world of the right of return and the Palestinian plight. As for Lebanon, rallies poured down the Lebanese streets in some parts of South Lebanon as well as the Beka'a valley, in addition to a central festival where the Secretary General of Hizbullah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a televised speech.

The very same place that held the bodies of martyrs that were once captured by the Zionist enemy and then returned to their homeland, that compound of pride and victory that witnessed all the previous celebrations and festivals, "Sayyed Al Shuhada'a" Complex hosted hundreds of Lebanese citizens and a number of Palestinians and Arabs this afternoon in the central Al Quds day festival in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.

Before His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered the speech that he addressed to all the world, particularly the Arab and Islamic world, a special gift had arrived from the occupied Holy land to Sayyed Nasrallah , an olive sapling was delivered and was planted in the complex by MP Ali Ammar in presence of men of religion and politicians. Ammar said as he planted the sapling that the Palestinian plight is ours now and forever, that all are to defend and protect Al Quds. He added: "Today is a reminder to the entire world that a day will come when we liberate Al Quds and Palestine and we will never surrender in the face of the Zionist enemy".

The event started with chants and a simple parade in which the music military band presented a performance, Wilaya music band performed a couple of resistance and revolutionary songs and then came the national anthems along with raising the Palestinian flag.

Then Sayyed Nasrallah appeared on a giant screen and started his speech. "Today is the day of Al Quds, it is the day on which Imam Khomeini -peace be upon his soul- started the commemoration of Al Quds and its cause, and even though Imam Khomeini had departed this world yet he has left us a precious heritage of which we are responsible and should take care of which is Al Quds day." These were a few words Sayyed Hassan started with after is spiritual words of praising Allah and calling for peace upon the souls of all prophets like always.

His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people and not to the Zionist entity, stressing that recognizing "Israel's" existence is forbidden and calling on all Arab and Islamic governments and people to adopt the choice of stead fasting in the face of the "Israeli" enemy.

Sayyed Nasrallah said "This day is the International Day of Al Quds, for the revival and rebirth of Al Quds that is being violated by the Zionist entity.
Sayyed Hassan tackled all issues related to Al Quds as well as all of Palestine. He said that the city is endangered, that we all should protect it and call upon the Arab and Islamic world as well as the International community to defend Al Quds and Al Aqsa. Not only this is a day for Al Quds city, but a day for its people, a day for all Palestine, a day for the Palestinian as well as Arab detainees remaining in "Israeli" prisons, a day for all the refugees whether internally displaced or are refugees abroad, a day for the resistance, for the fighters and for Al Quds."

Hizbullah Secretary General also tackled the situation in the Gaza Strip, especially that winter time is about to arrive soon and thousands of Palestinians remain without shelters or homes, called for the opening of the crossings and for giving these people their least and most basic human rights.

And those of a certain faith, creed, belief and cause never give up or surrender as Sayyed Hassan speaks on the behalf of the Lebanese as well as Arab and Palestinian people. He asserted there is no place for giving up or surrendering in front of the enemy that raped the land and killed the innocent and stole the resources.

In brief, Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the resistances and the people in order to hold tight on all the strength and might they have and stated that "the day will come when Al Quds will return and we will protect it."

In addition to many more details Sayyed Hassan tackled and our readers will be able to read thoroughly in his translated speech, His Eminence also thanked the Iranian stance and praised Iran's support of the resistance in the region. He dealt in brief with the situation in Yemen and addressed its president Ali Abdallah Saleh to solve the conflict that has been shedding blood in the past days, not to mention that on the Lebanese level Sayyed Nasrallah called upon all the Lebanese to stay calm and avoid further tension, and await the arrival of the PM-Designate arrival from Saudi Arabia when Hariri will start talks and work on the government formation.

Our correspondent had had some live accounts from the festival, where people had messages to deliver on this day.

Huda, sister of a martyr says she attended the festival because it is everyone\'s duty to do so. She said: "I address the whole world today, and tell them Al Quds is our land, the "Qibla" of Muslims, the holy land that was raped and stolen by the hawkish Zionists. The world should know very well that "Israel" is an oppressor, its existence is illegal and we will never give up until Al Quds is liberated." She also delivered a message to the resistance fighters whether in Palestine or Lebanon saying: "Dear fighters are the hope of this Ummah, we rely on them and support them and we believe in them. They taught us how to fight and therefore just like them, we never surrender."

Another Lebanese citizen and journalist that was attending the festival, Mariam said that the "Israeli" war is no longer only military but also cultural, religious, historical and a war of media. She says: "We will fight just like they attack. We are not bound only to the military war, but also we have awareness campaigns and methods to revive the culture and history of Palestine that is being stolen and forged. The "Nakba" term has been banned from the curriculum in the schools in Palestine, the Palestinian students are forced to study the "Israeli" national anthem and now they want to teach then about the holocaust which is nothing but a myth.
We know very well these are attempts to destroy and erase the Palestinian culture and we are aware of it"

Not only the young were present in the festival, but also the elderly such as Aliya, a Lebanese mother of a fighter in her late 60s. Wrinkles drawn all over her face witnessed years of resistance and victories. Aliya had a terse yet rich word: "Righteousness will always win, and wrongdoing is wrongdoing forever, this is the case of Palestine and the Zionist state... Palestine will win."

Even little children had something to say, and knew the reason of their presence in such a festival.
Ahmad, an 8 year old boy had attended the festival as he believes Al Quds is the land of all Muslims, Christians and Jews. A little boy of childhood\'s innocent world says that he will grow up to keep defending this plight and said that he believes the world should do something about the unjust actions towards the Palestinians. "They are human beings and deserve to live in dignity" he says.

And so is the case of tremendous numbers of people who attended rallies whether in the east, the west whether Arab or non Arab, Muslim, Christian, Jewish or other.

Al Quds international day is the loudest and widest and most comprehensive call and protest in the face of the Zionist state and its cooperate helpers and allies who violate rights and manipulate the world for the sake of their own good and benefit nevertheless of all the harm they cause, of the oppression, crimes, discrimination and inhumanity they commit. The Last day of this Holy month of Ramadan is and will remain a day in commemoration of Al Quds worldwide.
