Hizbullah organized a massive march after Friday prayers in the city of Baalbek on "International (Jerusalem) al-Quds Day", lead by the MPs: Ali Mekdad, Kamel Rifai, Emile Rahmeh, Assem Qanso, Hizbullah's Consultative Council member Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek, Hizbullah's politburo chairman, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin Sayyed, Hizbullah official in the Bekaa Mr. Mohammad Yaghi, Baalbek head of municipality Bassam Raad and head of municipalities in surrounding villages as well as delegates from Palestinian factions, Mahdi Scouts and the Civil Defense of the Islamic Health Society.

The march began from the shrine of Sayyedah Khawla, daughter of Imam Hussein (p), roamed the city streets and markets all the way to Ra'as al-Aiyn locality.

Sheikh Yazbek delivered a speech in which he said: "Al-Quds International Day is the day of the oppressed and justness, for al-Quds and Palestine to remain the memory of the Arab and Islamic nation and the free of the world. The Islamic Republic of Iran is the supporter of Palestine and the liberation of the holy sites, regardless of the schemes the United States and the West are weaving to separate Iran from the Arabs and their central cause. We also call on the Palestinians to close ranks and unite their stance under the resistance banner."

He added: "Frequent ‘Israeli' enemy exercises, heavy aerial patrols, its breach of our sovereignty, and its threats and messages will only make us more resolved on its confrontation. In addition, we are ready and prepared to face the enemy if it commits any idiocy here or there. We will continue to be the defenders of this nation and its sovereignty and independence. We have also demonstrated that the strength of Lebanon lies in its national unity, army, and resistance and in the defense of its land, territorial waters and airspace to safeguard its independence."
