Sheikh Qassem received a joint delegation from the National Democratic & the Doctors Gatherings

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary-General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, received a joint delegation of the National Democratic Gathering and the Doctors Gathering in Lebanon, headed by Dr. Ghassan Jaafar, who congratulated His Eminence on Eid al-Fitr and presented the activities of the two gatherings, they also discussed the latest developments.

Jaafar explained after the meeting that "The delegation presented to the Deputy Secretary-General the objectives and program of the National Democratic Gathering founded on 20th of last May, which calls for a State that goes by:

- The rule of law
- freedoms
- institutions
- The application of the Taif Accord in terms of:
o The formation of the National Commission for abolishing political sectarianism
o The adoption of a fair electoral law, based on relative representation
o Supporting the resistance in the face of the continuing Zionist threats to our country."
