Sheikh Naim Qassem: Arab world should support Palestine against “The International Criminal”

Hizbollah Deputy of Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a statement during a protest that the Association of the Islamic Scholars in Lebanon had called for, against the hawkish actions of the "Israeli" army in Al Aqsa mosque as well as Al Quds.

Sheikh Qassem said: "Al Quds and its existence to us is sacred whether land, people, or sanctities. Our duty is to support and stand by Al Quds and its people because otherwise we would be conspiring against it."

Sheikh Qassem said that the Palestinian cause passes through a crucial stage as it is subjected to a three dimensional "Israeli"-American scheme.

He said whether the two-state solution, the trilateral meetings or making the Palestinian cause a priority are part of the scheme and are nothing but illusion.

Deputy of Secretary General also said that the United States aimed at trivializing the Palestinian cause and giving priority to other topics such as the Iranian and Korean nukes which is an attempt to diminish the number one cause in the Middle East; Palestine.

"Despite the fact that "Israel's" existence dates back to 1948 and despite 61 years of "official" occupation, yet the Zionist State could not get its legitimacy" he added.

Sheikh Qassem reminded the international community and the Arab world of all the crimes and violations "Israel" has been committing in different parts of the region, and highlighted that the Goldstone report is a chance to raise voice against the criminal acts of the Zionist State.

He said that the Goldstone report is not a surprising exception as "Israel" has always been a slaughter and has always violated rights of the Palestinians as well as the Lebanese, but the exception comes as this is the first international acknowledgement of the "Israeli" crimes and therefore is a good chance to state that the occupying enemy should be stopped and that even his allies are not capable of remaining silent in face of all the inhumane acts that were portrayed lately in Operation Cast Lead on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Finally Sheikh Qassem saluted al the resistance fighters, the freed women detainees, all the Palestinian struggling people and concluded that the resistance is the only means of defying the Zionist existence in the region and in Palestine.
