According to a Palestinian Authority official, "Israeli" settlers set fire to 10 dunums of land in a Palestinian village near the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday evening.

Ma'an news agency said that Ghassan Doughus, the PA official charged with monitoring settler activity in the northern West Bank, said dozens of settlers from a settlement called Aliyah set fire to olive groves in the village of Labn.

The official also said settlers assaulted farmers who were harvesting olives. It was unclear if anyone was significantly injured in the reported attack.

With the support of the "Israeli" army and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, settlers are moving forward with their criminal activities that include destruction and confiscation of trees and other agriculture, burning of buildings and fields, and attacks on people and their property.

The "Israeli" Forces estimate that in recent years, settlers have attacked and shot Palestinians who harvested olives near West Bank settlements. In the past few months settlers set fire to Palestinian farm lands and olive groves, while Over the past year settlers have cut down or burnt some 450 olive trees in the Nablus area.
