Sheikh Qaouk: The positive phase we enter ought to oust Lebanon from internal division

Sheikh Qaouk delivered a speech in which he expressed that we are entering a positive phase aimed at ousting Lebanon from a state of internal division and that we are facing a real opportunity that forms the beginning of building a strong fair state, and effective confidence creating partnership.

He added: "In a national unity government, together we stress the right of Lebanon as State, people, resistance and National Army, to work on liberating the remaining occupied territory and to the defense of sovereignty in case of any ‘Israeli' aggression. It is normal for the Americans to feel disturbed and a sense of frustration and regret when Lebanon is united.

The Southern Region Official of Hizbullah saw that the Americans did not want to see Hizbullah's participation in the Lebanese government, a position the U.S. Administration demonstrated on more than one occasion, but consensus of all Lebanese denominations emphasized the need for Hizbullah's presence in a national unity government.

Hizbullah has had broader government participation in the past giving Lebanon a unified position, which reflects the common will of resistance against all "Israeli" arrogance and American dictates.
