MP Fayyad commended Minister Aridi's experience, the special interest he showed towards the border area, and his favorable reaction to the demands of its people.

After the visit MP Fayyad announced, stressing that "The Lebanese have a practical need for a workshop that launches the state's institutions, as well as a political calm in the environment. He saw in the government formation an inauguration of a new political phase, characterized by positivism, flexibility and willingness to cooperate and work to restore things to their normal order."

Fayyad felt that this is a transitional phase that prepares the country for a serious approach, outside the logic of division and sensitivities, in order to address what the Secretary General of Hizbullah called "the big files."
