Marking the one-year anniversary of the December 2008 "Israeli" onslaught that left more than 1,400 dead, children write postcards in different schools on the different countries worldwide to the children of Gaza.

Fundraisings are launched in support of the 1.5 million besieged human beings who are denied the least rights of humans and humanity. Campaigns are set off addressing people worldwide to boycott "Israeli" goods that help in providing more bullets to kill the innocent. Activists and politicians are speaking out loud calling and addressing the world leaders that have been watching in silence the "Israeli" hawkish violence and inhumanity in Palestine.

In addition to these detailed incidents taking part in little regions worldwide, more global activities that include representatives of different countries such as the third viva Palestina convoy, the Gaza March freedom, and other campaigns all targeting the "Israeli" blockade and apartheid.

The Viva Palestina convoy which has departed from London and is heading towards Gaza in an attempt to break the siege, is of 250 vehicles will deliver medical, humanitarian and educational aid to Palestinians who are suffering a long-running "Israeli" blockade on their territory since Hamas took control of the region in June 2007.

The convoys departed from London on Sunday to pass through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

British MP and Lawmaker George Galloway, who has founded the Vive Palestina, said the convoy aims to lift blockades on Gaza and to supply part of the needs of the Palestinians who are suffering serious problems.

The humanitarian aid is scheduled to enter Gaza on Dec. 27 after heading through Syria, Jordan and north along the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt.

As for Gaza Freedom March, which is a grassroots global response to the inaction on the part of world leaders and institutions, more than 1,000 international delegates from 42 countries have already signed up and more are signing on every day.

According to the official website of the campaign, an international coalition will lead a march through Gaza to pressure the "Israeli" government to break the siege.
While the march in Gaza will be the climax of the campaign's efforts, there is a lot of important work that must be done before, during and after the march so that it is successful such as education and outreach - house parties, presentations, screenings - congressional pressure, and solidarity actions.

According to the group's website, "A key aspect of this humanitarian mission is to break the illegal siege imposed by "Israel" and get what is needed into Gaza ... there will may be difficulties, delays and disappointments along the way."

Predictions of facing difficulties and impediments come in first place as the Egyptian government's criteria for granting entry into the strip remain unclear.

The Gaza Freedom March is planned by Anne Wright, a retired US Army colonel and peace activist, in cooperation with the women's rights group Code Pink, recently arrived in Cairo to help make preparations. Wright served as a US diplomat for 16 years, but retired after the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

"Israel's" blockade of Gaza is a flagrant violation of international law that has led to mass suffering while the U.S., the European Union, and the rest of the international community are complicit.

However, all these are symbolic moves of resistance to fight seizure of the Gaza Strip whose blockade has brought death, destruction, pain, and suffering to the people there, amid the international community setting a deaf ear at the cries of the Gazans.
