The U.S. Congress Research Service revealed in a new report that Saudi Arabia was the largest buyer of U.S. weapons during the period between (2005 to 2008).

The report pointed out that Saudi Arabia was ranked first in the list of countries which have bought arms and military equipment from the United States, by concluding arms deals with Washington worth $ 11.2 billion, followed by the UAE (ten billion dollars), while Australia finished third (6.4 billion dollars), followed by Egypt ($ 5.2 billion), then Pakistan ($ 4.5 billion), Iraq ($ 3.5 billion), South Korea (3.1 billion dollars), Japan (three billion dollars), "Israel" ($ 2.7 billion) and Morocco (2.5 billion U.S. dollars).
