Isn’t That My Leg!!

The Palestinian Dilemma has moved from the struggle of "Give me back my land" to "Give me back my organ".

Ahmad Tibi, an Arab Knesset member and leader of the Arab nationalist party, said last week that a medical institute in "Israel" harvested organs from the bodies of dead Palestinians in the 1990's, adding that those organs were used in organ transplants for "Israeli" soldiers.

This wasn't the first time, In December 1968 a man named Avraham Sadegat died two days after a stroke, even though his family had been told he was fine, after several unanswered requests the "Israeli" hospital handed over the body to his family. They discovered that his upper body was wrapped in bandages, that was odd for someone who had suffered a stroke, after removing the bandages they found the heart missing.

This reminds us of year 2004, when pathologist Yehuda Hiss was removed from his post as head of the state-run L, after it was found that he had been involved for years in organ theft, such as legs and ovaries, and selling them to medical schools for use in research and training without family permission.

In addition to Yehuda, A New York Rabbi, Levy Izhak Rosenbaum was arrested in July 2009, after it became clear that he was the main mediator for am major human organs trafficking ring.

Earlier in August 2009 a report on the organ theft was published by Sweden's daily newspaper Aftonbladet, it said that "Israeli" Soldiers were snatching and killing Palestinian men to harvest their organs for sale, such as the 19 year-old Palestinian, Bilal Ahmed Ghanem who was shot dead in 1992 in the West Bank village of Imatin, by the "Israeli" forces.

Ghanem's body was found cut from the stomach to the neck after being returned several days after his death by the "Israeli" military.

Donald Bostrum the author of the report also wrote, "Our sons are used as involuntary organ donors,' relatives of Khaled from Nablus said to me, as did the mother of Ra'ed from Jenin as well as the uncles of Mahmoud and Nafez from Gaza, who all had disappeared for a few days and returned by night, dead and autopsied."

Emerging from a published interview conducted in 2000 by Nancy Scheper-Hughes, professor of anthropology at the University of California -Berkeley who had conducted a study of Abu, with the then-head of "Israel's" Abu Kabir forensic institute, Dr. Jehuda Hiss, Israel admitted that in the 1990s, its forensic pathologists harvested organs from dead bodies, including Palestinians, without family permission.

In the interview, Hiss said that in the early 1987, the military surgeons removed a thin layer of skin from bodies to tear burn victims.

Hiss described during the interview how his doctors would mask the removal of corneas from bodies, he said they'd glue the eyelid shut, adding, "We wouldn't take corneas from families we knew would open the eyelids."

Hiss said that the skins were taken from bodies and transmitted to Hadasah hospital in Al Quds (Jerusalem) on the request of "Israeli" Army to be transplanted to wounded soldiers and in case of disaster.

At the time where parents are crying out loud asking for answers to what is happening to the bodies of their children, the "Israelis" are working to suppress all debate and questions that they find threatening.

As Donald Bostrum said in his report: "It's time to bring clarity to this macabre business, to shed light on what is going on and what has taken place in the territories occupied by "Israel" since the Intifada began."
