Iran Reveals Advanced Centrifuges
Local Editor 10-04-2010
As the Islamic Republic accelerates a uranium enrichment program, Iran revealed a new generation of domestically built centrifuges, which are capable of much faster enrichment than those now being used in the republic's nuclear facilities.
This advancement was considered a step forward into greater self-sufficiency, facing international sanctions aiming at terminating Iran's nuclear program.
On Iran's National Day of Nuclear Technology, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed from under a white curtain, one of the cylindrical machines dignitaries, which came after months of announcements over developed new machines.
President Ahmadinejad stressed that Iran will go on with its nuclear program, although US and other world powers oppose such program. Iranian President also insisted that Iran's nuclear program was only peaceful, and it would remain a nuclear state, "whether enemies want it or not".
