The Iranian government has expressed anger at the lack of international reaction to the Obama Administration's nuclear policy platform, which included a threat to launch a nuclear attack against Iran.

It is regrettable that official international bodies remained silent on the implicit and unwise threat of US President Barack Obama," noted the head of Iran's judiciary, Ayatollah Larijani.

Other than a comment by a former Austrian Ambassador calling the threat a violation of international law, officials have roundly praised the administration for nominally taking the nuclear first strike option off the table for most of the world.

Iran filed a formal complaint earlier this month with the United Nations over the threats, including repeated claims by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates that "all bets are off" with respect to a nuclear first strike on Iran.

It remains unclear when the UN will take up the issue, or if they will at all.
