Turkey No Longer "Israel’s" Strategic Ally ...
"The feeling that Turkey is no longer a strategic ally for ‘Israel', is the prevalent sense echoing in ‘Israeli' security circles, according to sources in ‘Israel's' Military Industries." Despite the absence of a decision to end relations between the two countries, what is happening indicates a significant decline in internal relations between them, particularly in association with the arms industry and new deals between the two sides, which means that the Turkish political attitudes toward ‘Israel' are already reflecting on the military directions."
And according to ‘Israeli' military sources, "There is a clear and very strong relationship between Turkey's political leanings and its military, to the extent that political stands opposing ‘Israel' have affected general political directions." ... However, sources within "Israel's" Ministry of "Defense" (war) indicate that "No formal decision has been taken regarding relations with the Turks," and maintain that "‘Israel' will individually study each Turkish request for weapons supply, based on the prevailing state of relations between the two sides."
