Rahimi: Iran alongside Syria against "Israel"
Local Editor
After Washington warned Tehran and Damascus for threatening Tel Aviv's security, Iran vowed to stand alongside Syria against "Israeli" threats.
During a joint press conference with Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Al Otra, Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said, "Syria is ready to confront any threat and Iran will always stand alongside Syria".
Rahimi added, "If those who have violated Palestinian land want to try anything we will cut off their feet", referring to "Israeli" threats, saying they are insignificant.
Iran's vice president said the unity between Iran and Syria is an "iron fist" against powers that plot to attack Islamic countries, especially Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq.
In his two-day visit to Syria, Rahimi's remarks came as a response of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton referring to "Israeli" security as "unshakable" in face of Iranian and Syria threats.
