On Sunday, "Israeli" President Shimon Peres claimed that his country has clear evidence regarding the transfer of Scud missiles to Hizbullah via the Syrian territory.
"Israel has clear proof that long-range, accurate Scud missiles have been transferred from Syria to Hizbullah, and there is no doubt about it," "Israeli" media quoted Peres as telling visiting Danish Foreign Minister Lene Espersen.
Peres warned the Syrian authorities from continuing its support of Hizbullah saying "Syria has to stop its support to Hizbullah and has to stop its dual action and talk as it can no longer hide the fact that it supports terrorism", claiming that the source of these missiles is North Korea which delivers weapons to Iran, which in its turn transfers these to Syria and Lebanon.
Earlier this week, Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the resistance party "has the right to
possess any weapon, but its policy implies that it abstains from
denying or confirming any information about the type of weapons it has;
and if someone announced that Hizbullah has nuclear weapons, Hizbullah
would not deny that."
