After the leak of a restricted provisional agenda copy about International Atomic Energy Agency's June 7 board meeting, where "Israeli" nuclear capabilities were listed as the eighth item, diplomatic sources denied to "Israeli" Newspaper Haaretz IAEA's intention to compare "Israel's" nuclear program with that of Iran.

The report revealed that "Israel's" secretive nuclear activities may undergo unprecedented IAEA scrutiny next month.

This would have been the first time agency's decision-making body is asked to deal with the issue in its 52 years of existence.

A previous Associated Press report also gave the impression that such a link between "Israel's" and Iran's nuclear programs had indeed existed.

However, on Monday the agency released a retraction of its report, saying, "Relying on a diplomat and a former official, the agency erroneously reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency for the first time put the topic on the proposed agenda of the IAEA board meeting next month."

Sources in Vienna, the home of United Nations' nuclear watchdog, declared that "IAEA had not targeted "Israel" and did not intend to parallel "Israel's" nuclear program and that of any other nation, including Iran.

The sources added that the June meeting did not represent a change in IAEA policy toward "Israel".
Knowing that Iran is a member of the Non-Proliferation treaty, so it conducts all its nuclear activities under the full supervision of the agency's inspectors.
As for "Israel", it is the only entity in the Middle East that possesses Mass Destruction Weapons and Nuclear Weapons.

Moreover, Iran has repeatedly said nuclear weapons have no place in the country's doctrine, stressing that its nuclear program is for civilian applications of the technology, and it's supreme leader have announced the Religious prohibition of these weapons.

Even when IAEA inspectors have found no evidence to support the allegation, US and its allies still insist that Iran intends to develop nuclear weapons under the guise of its civilian program, and IAEA director general calls for campaigns to increase concerted international pressure on Iran.
