The MV Rachel Corrie and the organizers are ready to sail from Ireland toward Gaza to promote human rights for the people in Palestine.



8 boats loaded with building supplies and medical equipments as well as 600 passengers and journalists will be sailed to Gaza by the Free Gaza Movement along with the Turkish humanitarian organization, IHH, the European Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza and the Greek and Swedish Boat to Gaza organizations.



Caoimhe Butterly, one of Free Gaza's organizers told moqawama.org "After facing many obstacles, we finally finished our preparations and are ready to sail tonight. This flotilla will show what kind of punishment is being imposed on the Palestinians in the Gaza strip".


She added that more than 550 tons of cement and over 200 tons of medical and educational supplies are ready to enter Gaza, although a violent "Israeli" threat is expected.


 "Despite the fact that "Israel" will be stand in out way, we will not forget about the 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza waiting for us", she said.



She noted that "Israel" will only allow 81 items into Gaza for basic and bare necessity life, yet many of them have nothing to do with rebuilding a shattered infrastructure. "Many items were banned last time such as chocolate, jam, sheets, pillows, and all rebuilding supplies. This will definitely be a harsh trip", she said.


This ship will alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza, prayers and best wishes are vitally needed!
