On his Way back to Iran, Abducted Iranian Scientist Pledges to Reveal the Entire Story

Abducted Iranian nuclear scientist Shahram Amiri is on his way back home, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"A few moments ago, Shahram Amiri left U.S. soil for Iran, following efforts taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the effective cooperation of the Pakistani embassy in Washington," ISNA news agency quoted Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast saying.

The Iranian scholar took on Tuesday refuge in the Pakistani Embassy in the US as it includes the Iranian interest section, urging for his immediate return home.

Mehmanparasat assured that his country will pursue the abduction case "legally and diplomatically."

Amiri who was kidnapped by the US intelligence forces in Mecca/Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the Saudi forces on June 2009, told Press TV that he will reveal the full details on his "abduction" to Iranian media when he arrives home, saying it is a detailed story.
