Supreme Leader: Terrorist Attacks on Zahedan Mosque Aim at Creating Division and Religious Discord

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali khamenei warned of the US, Zionist regime, and British terrorist actions aiming at dividing Iranian Muslims.

He accused their intelligence services of the recent violent suicidal attacks in Iran that lead to the death of 27 Iranians and injury of over a 100.

"One of the main goals of the enemies behind the terrorist attack in Iran's Southeastern city of Zahedan was to create division and religious discord," Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday, reassuring that the Islamic Republic would not allow "arrogant powers" to achieve their goals.

Moreover, His eminence assured that, "The Shiite and Sunni thinkers in all Islamic and Arab countries should define the wicked intentions of the enemies which are to instigate sectarian terrorism."

According to Fars News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei sent a condolence letter on Saturday to the people of Sistan-Baluchestan province where the Zahedan mosque is located, praying for the recovery of the victims, and urging people of Sistan-Baluchestan to show perseverance and maintain Islamic unity.
