Russia announced on Wednesday that it refused to impose any new sanction on Iran, which are not agreed upon in the UN Security Council (UNSC), urging Iran to enhance its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In this context, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov referred that Iran has to guarantee its level of cooperation with the IAEA, where he considered that the 6 power countries hold responsibility towards dealing with the Iranian nuclear crisis.

According to Lavrov, there could not be any forced solutions for the Iranian crisis, warning of the consequences of attempts to isolate a country like Iran, refusing to impose any sanctions that are adopted from outside the UNSC.
