Hariri Tehran Talks Start, Lebanese PM Meets Imam Khamenei Sunday

Lebanese PM Saad Hariri and accompanying delegation currently on a state visit to Tehran, conducted the first round of talks with Iranian leaders.

Ministers from both countries attended the initial round of talks. Highlighting discussions were bilateral relations against the backdrop of major regional developments.

Following the initial round of talks, Hariri and Lebanese delegation members took up residence at the Istiklal (independence Hotel) where he met with accredited Arab and foreign diplomats where he briefed them on the current situation in Lebanon.

Hariri and accompanying delegation were earlier met at Tehran airport by the Iranian Housing Minister with a band from the Army playing National Anthem of both countries.

According to sources, Hariri is to meet Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday.
