Larijani, Assad Discuss Bilateral Relations, Regional Developments

Syrian President Bashar Assar received Monday Iranian Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani, along with a Parliamentarian Delegation, which took part in the firth Asian Parliamentarian Assembly Conference.

The meeting held strategic relations between Syria and Iran, in addition to the great development which both countries are witnessing, also discussing latest regional and international updates.

The bilateral meeting focused on the importance of coordination between efforts parliaments of the countries in developing relations between Asian countries in all aspects.

Furthermore, both sides discussed recent critical issues, especially the Palestinian occupation issue, and the latest news on the Iranian nuclear file.

Speaker Ali Larijani on his part reaffirmed Iran's stance with Damascus on rightful and just issues, and on the other hand, President Assad praised Iran's role in supporting Arab and Islamic issues.
