Netanyahu Refuses to Demolish Illegal WB Houses of Killed “Israeli” Soldiers
Local Editor
"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that he would not allow the demolishing of the illegal West Bank homes of two killed "Israeli" soldiers, Haaretz daily reported.
On his part, "Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak stated that unless a legal solution was found, then the "Israeli" government will demolish the houses of the soldiers, Eliraz Peretz and Roi Klein.
"I won't let those houses be destroyed", Netanyahu said, adding, "I think it is a moral duty to those two heroes and their families. It is a matter of common sense, there is public debt it won't happen".
The issue of demolishing the houses was final, but after Netanyahu's request, the prosecution asked the High Court of Justice to postpone the sentence for a month, a time in which they hope to reach a resolution.
In this context, Ehud Barak stressed that the legal solution could be found in case the houses were legitimized, but if not, then the houses should be demolished.
