The United Nation Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees revealed that the years of the brutal "Israeli" blockade on Gaza, caused serious damages and deterioration on the humanitarian level.

Press TV correspondent reported UNRWA spokesperson, Christopher Gunness saying that the unemployment rate in Gaza increase to reach about 45.5%.

This deterioration in the Gazan humanitarian situation followed the total siege in June 2007, imposed by the "Israeli" enemy and the Egyptian authorities.

Although "Israel" later eased the siege after the May 31 attack on the Turkish-led Freedom Flotilla, UNRWA experts still say that there is no economic improvement in Gaza, where the Zionist enemy still bans the import of basic living materials and goods.
