Mubarak Resigns, Appoints Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to Run the Country

Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman announced Friday night Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's decision to leave his position as president.

Suleiman also added that the resigned President Mubarak appointed the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to run the country's affairs.

As the statement was declared, millions of Egyptians poured into the streets to celebrate the news of the Mubarak regime's collapse.
