Local Editor
Head of the Civil Liberties Committee of the Egyptian Bar Association, Jamal Taj Al Dien, presented Egyptian Prosecutor General Abdul Majid Mahmoud with a notice, in which he accused the US Ambassador to Cairo, Margaret Scobey, of being involved in the intentional "running over" accident against 25 Egyptians during the 25 January Revolution protests.
The notice accused Scobey of facilitating the stealing of the US Embassy's vehicles in Cairo by Egyptian Interior Minister former officials, referring that the latter used the vehicles to run over the Egyptian protesters during protests.
Jamal Taj Al Dien said he demanded the General Prosecutor to request that the Former Minister take appropriate measures towards the US Ambassador to Egypt, considering she is an "undesirable" individual in the country.
He added that measures should also be adopted before the US courts to sue Scobey for being involved in that crime.
Jamal Taj Al Dien stated that he will be addressing a notice to the Foreign Minister on Saturday, to immediately start with adopting measured against the US Ambassador, referring that what she was involved in jeopardizes the country's independence, unity, peace and stability.
