Local Editor
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described the latest Middle East and North Africa uprisings as the beginning of a "significant event".
According to IRNA news agency, Ahmadinejad stated, "The movements that have emerged in the social structure of nations across the entire globe reflect a move towards a divine and humanitarian path".
The Iranian President affirmed that the current events and the revolutionary uprising in several Middle East countries, represents the beginning of a significant event which was heralded by prophets.
Ahmadinejad's remarks came as anti-regime uprising events in Libya have been escalating, demanding the removal of the Gaddafi dictator regime.
Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi has been committing crimes and massacres against his people, where new agencies have been reported more than 6000 Libyan civilians killed, which many others were injured.
