Gaza Witnesses Cancer Rate Increase Due to “Israeli” Bombards

According to medical sources in the Gaza strip, the number of cancer patients in the impoverished territory has been increasing due to the "Israeli" depleted uranium weapons used during the vicious 2008-2009 aggression.

Press TV correspondent to the Gaza Strip reported that cancer cases have increased by 30% since the war.

Oncologist Mohammad Atteya stated, "We have seen a sharp increase in blood cancer and other types of the diseases. Many patients come from the areas that were attacked by "Israeli" fighter jets using banned chemical weapons".

Medics and experts following up the situation say that most of the cancer patients live in the areas that were heavily bombarded during the "Israeli" brutal assault.

On another hand, environmental expert Zekra Ajour said, "The number of cancer patient has gone up significantly. "Israel" used depleted, white phosphorous against the city [Gaza]. The city became a testing ground for all these banned weapons".

Since the Zionist siege and war were imposed on the Gaza strip, the area has been living in the most impoverished situation, including serious health, social, and economic damages.
