President Assad: Foreign Military Interference in Regional Affairs Leads to Further Disputes, Dangerous Repercussions
Local Editor
Syrian President Bashar Assad confirmed that the region's nations are the only ones capable of deciding their fate, and drawing their future.
Assad stressed that any foreign military interference in the regional countries, will lead to further disputes and would have some dangerous repercussions.
He referred to the "experiences of the past", saying they confirm that any foreign interference should not be in order.
President Assad believed that "peace" cannot be true and lasting if it wasn't guaranteed with the return of the land, and the return of all rights to their rightful owners.
President Assad's remarks came during receiving Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez, where both sides discussed Spanish-Syrian bilateral relations.
Both sides also confirmed their will on tightening their relations and enhancing their cooperation on different levels, with what meets the interests of both countries and nations.
The Syrian and Spanish officials also went over recent events witnessed in the region, in presence of Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem, and the Spanish delegation accompanying the Spanish Foreign Minister.
