Syrian Ambassador: Meddling of Lebanese Sides in Syria’s Internal Affairs Very Dangerous, Contradicts with Taef Accord

Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali stated that the confessions by the terrorist group (whose members confirmed their relation with Future Bloc MP Jamal Jarrah), imposes on the Lebanese authorities to examine this file to maintain the special relations between both countries.

In an interview with Al Intiqad online newspaper, the Syrian Ambassador affirmed there is no need for the Syrian authorities to contact the Lebanese judiciary clarifying that what took place is enough for the responsible Lebanese sides to take action.
Ambassador Abdul Karim Ali further added that the confessions broadcasted by the Syrian Media is an introduction and does not include everything, noting that meddling in the internal Syrian affairs was clear by some Lebanes sides, further adding that it was broadcasted by the Medias.

Furthermore, the Syrian Ambassador pointed out that the Lebanese judiciary's responsibility is confirmed by the agreements and memorandums signed between both countries, adding that there is a necessity for the Lebanese authorities to follow up this file.
Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali stressed that what occurred of meddling and collusion by some Lebanese sides in the recent events in Syria, is a very dangerous matter, and contradicts with the Taef accord, and the special relations between Lebanon and Syria.
