Iranian Ambassador Confirms Iranian Diplomats Still Alive in “Israeli” Prisons

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi revealed that the four Iranian diplomats abducted by the Zionist entity in 1982 are still alive in "Israeli" prisons, further affirming that this case will remain opened.

During a solidarity gathering held in the journalism syndicate and organized by the Iranian Embassy in Beirut on Wednesday, Rokon Abadi confirmed that Iran will follow up with issue with the relevant sides and international community organization, until the Iranian diplomats and freed and sent back to their homes and families.

Furthermore, the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon believed that the crime of abducting the four Iranian diplomats it a grave crime committed and does not meet diplomatic conventions, especially that the Vienna Convention gave immunity and protection for diplomats in conducting their tasks and duties.

In this context, Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi referred to that he hasn't witnessed any attempt by the international community and the human rights organizations in this regard, also thanking all who have expressed solidarity with the four diplomats, especially Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour.

On his part, Minister Mansour declared that the abduction case of the Iranian diplomats has taken a great deal of Lebanon's and its people's concerns, urging the follow up on this issue to continue investigations to reveal the truth.
Lebanese Foreign Minister further added that efforts will not be put aside in order to investigate and reach positive results which would free the diplomats to their homes.

On another hand, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad's advisor, and the wife of one of the abducted Iranian diplomats, Mrs Mojtahed Zadeh, urged the UN and humanitarian organization to hold responsibility through a commission of inquiry that would punish the Zionist entity for its crime and release the diplomats.

Moreover, Head of Lebanese Human Rights Parliamentary Commission, MP Michele Moussa called upon the international community to exert more efforts to demand "Israel" to reveal the truth about the abduction case of the Iranian diplomats.
In addition, head of the Lebanese Society for Prisoners and Released Prisoners Atallah Hamoud addressed the international conscience and human rights organization to put an end to this crime, and work on revealing the truth and releasing the abducted Iranian diplomats from the "Israeli" prisons.

Head of the Lebanese Journalism Syndicate also delivered a speech in which he called for the Lebanese judicial authorities' interference to seek the fate of the Iranian diplomats.
