Minister of State for Administrative Development Mohammad Fneish stated that "the appointments mechanism was approved by the former government and it relied on law enforcement, the validity suggestion of the Minister, and the government's approval."

After meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati Thursday morning at the Grand Serail, Fneish stressed that "all specifications and functions of the first category has been set completely in the previous government with the consultation and cooperation of the concerned ministers and the Council of Civil Service."

The minister explained that "lists of eligible promotions from the second category to the first category have been completed by the Board of Civil Service."

Adding that "regulatory bodies view was obtained concerning all these regulations to identify those who are qualified for each job," Fneish acknowledged that "it was agreed with the Prime Minister, based on the ministerial statement and assurances of the president that we're going to apply the mechanism of appointments and will complete the procedures to fill vacancies in the first category."

"It is required from those who are opposing the government before it starts work that they do not exercise this kind of malicious defamation before the government starts its work," Fneish concluded.
