Lebanese Minister of Administrative Development Mohammad Fneish believed that "there are fears spreading among Western powers, worrying that resistance axis [Iran-Iraq-Lebanon-Syria] would survive. Fneish added that the said countries' resistance movement won and defeated the US occupation, while Syria was supporting and embracing them.

He indicated that the "Israeli" enemy is sensing this danger, especially after the collapse of Hosni Mubarak's regime in Egypt; an issue which represented a grave catastrophe for its future.
Moreover, Minister Fneish indicated that the pillars of confrontation in Syria today have become clear.

"There are foreign forces that seek the collapse of this pro-resistance regime, not because it wants to help some spectrums of the Syrian people, but because it wants to take advantage of the movements and cause conflict; switching rhetoric incitement into weaponry incitement", Minister of Administrative Development reaffirmed.

Also, Fneish noted the evidence here is what has been heard in statements from those who assigned themselves as the so-called "national council".
"It [national council] announced that if it reaches power, it will freeze all ties with Iran and the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine", Fneish stated, adding that the "Syrian national council" announced it will negotiate with the "Israeli" enemy; therefore it will be part of the US-NATO scheme.

Fneish stressed that there is an obvious blatant US-Western hypocrisy, iterating, "At the time when the US legitimizes armament and targets civilians because of their different sectarian or political approaches, the US administration believes that the weapons designated to defend our rights against the "Israeli" enemy is not allowed and is described as terrorism".
