Larsen to Ask Lebanon: Deploy UNIFIL on Borders with Syria

Local Editor
Another series of Western meddling in Syria's internal affairs is to be manifested next week with the expected visit of UN top officials to Lebanon headed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
Until then, the Kuwaiti "al-Qabas" newspaper uncovered Saturday that UN Special Envoy for the implementation of Security Council resolution 1559 Tere Roed-Larsen may propose during his upcoming visit to Lebanon with Ki-moon deploying the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon along the border with Syria.
"The Norwegian official considers such a move an attempt to further isolate the Syrian regime and limit the smuggling of arms across the Lebanese-Syrian border," the paper stated.
Under the claim that Larsen believes that the deployment may also prevent Lebanon from becoming an open ground for terrorists to infiltrate Syria, the paper clearly mention's Larsen's real intentions:
"UNIFIL deployment is to further isolate the regime there (in Syria)."
