As huge as the issue might seem, the Lebanese people had already become "vaccinated" against such exposures as those of the Mossad agents. After the outstanding Lebanese "army-resistance" espionage accomplishments, people have become aware of the Mossad violation of the telecoms sector.

Elias Younes, “Dean of Mossad Collaborators” in Lebanon Since 1977Elias Younes, 71 years-old, had collaborated with the "Israeli" enemy since 1977, and his treason was just recently exposed by the Lebanese army's intelligence unit. Lebanese daily as-Safir published the story of the "dean of collaborators" as he is called. The daily indicated that Younes' work in the telecoms sector strated in 1958 with the "Radio Orian", which was later replaced by "Ogero" in 1972. After that he was appointed as head of Beirut's technical area in 1974, and then in 1977, in the midst of the Lebanese civil war, the "Israeli" agents contacted and trained him to present them with telecoms data. Here, the 35 years of treason began.

The daily, moreover, indicated that Younes had a great role in providing the "Israeli" enemy with all the Lebanese telecoms networks' maps, especially those located in Beirut and the south, to help them during their 1978 and 1982 invasions.

Throughout the years, Younes kept his close ties with his "Israeli" informants, even after his resignation in 2005, during which he was trained on new developed espionage technologies that would help him provide more information, and updated data of the land phone lines, and mobile companies if possible.

Also, he was in constant contact with the "Israelis" during the 2006 July war aggression, in which he most probably collaborated with them to provide them with any possible information.

Although he has been insisting that he retired from his "espionage" collaboration in 2008 due to his ageing, as-Safir daily stated that the Lebanese Army's intelligence unit monitored him and found out that he had held several meeting with the "Israelis" after the consecutive collapses of "Israeli" espionage networks in Lebanon in 2009.
