On the sidelines of the meeting, Raad stated that "the meeting with President [Lahoud] always rich, because he recalls incidents experienced by the country, and how they would be beneficial in confronting the current developments".

Moreover, MP Raad stated, "We express our deepest condolences for the families of those who were victims of the collapsed building in the Ashrafiyeh area. We call upon the government to tackle this issue and be concerned over the citizens' affairs and their regions', especially in the regions that might witness such catastrophes".

Regarding the Litani Project launching, which took place previously that day in the Grand Serial, MP Raad believed that "signing the Litani Project implementation deal is a good beginning to rightfully use the Lebanese waters that are wasted into the sea".
