Sheikh Qassem Receives ICRC Delegation, Stresses on Supporting Humanitarian Activities
Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem received the International Committee of the Red Cross's (ICRC) head of operations for the Middle East Béatrice Mégevand-Roggo, in presence of head of the ICRC delegation in Lebanon Jürg Montani.
Also present at the meeting was head of Hizbullah Liaison and Coordination Unit Wafiq Safa.
The figures convened and discussed humanitarian affairs in Lebanon and the region, and tackled the ICRC's projects implemented in Lebanon.
Moreover, the ICRC delegation presented a general view of its units' work in Lebanon and the region, especially on the level of prisoners.
On his part, His Eminence Sheikh Qassem confirmed that Hizbullah supports the said humanitarian activities, especially that his party conducts many similar activities through its various institutions.
He also hoped that all parties in Lebanon make way for humanitarian measures, away from political stances and tensions.
