Hizbullah Urges Gov’t to Bear Responsibility of Electricity Crisis
Commenting on the aggravating crisis of the electricity cut in Lebanon, Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Citizens in Lebanon are living in a severe crisis on the level of electricity supply, especially in light of the harsh climate circumstances witnessed in the country.
Without doubt, this crisis is the result of the years-long deterioration in this sector; which the successive governments should bear the responsibility of. The responsibility or solution of this crisis shouldn't be handed to a particular ministry, but confronting this dilemma is a duty of the government.
Hizbullah believes that the exacerbation of this livelihood crisis, and the lack of care cause significant economic and social risks. Therefore, the government combined is required, with all its abilities, to hold responsibility, and present an initiative to seriously tackle this crisis, through providing the needed financing and following the decided plan.
