After the meeting, Sheikh Hassan Abdullah highlighted the Syrian issue, stressing on the importance of following the reforms assigned by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, also noting the importance of implementing them.

"The security unrest should be stopped", he stated, indicating that the said unrest is financed by some countries that seek the collapse of the resisting Syrian role, in order to "establish a state that would sell Palestine to the Zionist entity, and give up our right to liberate it".
Moreover, he added, "The resistance is the bright page of our nation's history, and it must go on until the final victory is achieved".

On another level, Sheikh Abdullah iterated, "The idea of the "minority coalition" is promoted by the Zionist entity, which merely seeks division of the Islamic and Arab world".
Also, Sheikh Abdullah indicated that he and his fellow members at the Muslim Scholars Gathering discussed with Mr. al-Hoss ways to develop the consultative meeting for the Islamic and Christian leaders, and therefore seek a national gathering for the religious figures, which would aim to unify a stance concerning the latest developments in the region.
