UK’s Co-op Boycotts Exports from “Israeli” WB Settlements
In a one of a kind Western step, the UK-based Co-operative Group announced its boycott of export deals with "Israeli" companies in illegal occupied West Bank settlements.

Ranked as the country's fifth biggest food retailer, the Co-op took this leading step complementary to its policy that does not allow any product exports from illegal settlement built on occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
This time, the company decided to no longer engage "with any supplier of produce known to be sourcing from the "Israeli" settlements," the Guardian reported.
The Co-op's member and coordinator of the Boycott "Israel" Network (BIN) agricultural trade campaign, Hilary Smith, stressed, "Co-op has taken the lead internationally in this historic decision to hold corporations to account for complicity in "Israel's" violations of Palestinian human rights. We strongly urge other retailers to take similar action."
However, the giant retailer stated that its contracts will be moved to other companies in the occupied territories, only which "can guarantee they don't export from illegal settlements."
According to reports, the UK-based retailer's decision will directly affect four "Israeli" suppliers that are Agrexo, Arava Export Growers, Adafresh, and Mehadrin, not to mention other companies that might be affected by the Co-op export policy in question.
