US Provides “Israel” Additional $70 Million for Iron Dome

The US War Secretary, Leon Panetta, announced that the Pentagon will seek to provide "Israeli" with extra $70 million in the upcoming months for the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

This additional payment piles up to the $205 million provided by the US so far, to support the "Israeli" military system, Reuters reported.
"My goal is to ensure "Israel" has the funding it needs each year to produce these batteries that can protect its citizens," Panetta claimed in a statement issued after meeting Thursday with his "Israeli" counterpart, Ehud Barack, at the Pentagon.

"This is assistance that, provided Congress concurs, we can move quickly, to ensure no shortage in this important system," his statement further read.
He also stated that the announced $70 million would be provided to the "Israeli" entity this fiscal year; by the end of September. The US War Secretary also vowed that the Pentagon would fund the Iron Dome program over the next three years, "based on an annual assessment of "Israeli" security requirements."
