AL-QUDS-Lebanon's Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah's address on the day of Ashura, marking martyrdom anniversary of the third Imam of Shiites Imam Hussein (PBUH), shocked Zionists, a Palestinian politician told Alalam.
Abbas Zokur said: "Hizbullah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah's public appearance in the Ashura ceremonies and his address to large groups of mourners in southern Lebanon have stunned "Israeli" officials."
Nasrallah said last Saturday in a fiery speech to a sea of supporters that his group had the "heads" and "body parts" of soldiers that the "Israeli" army had abandoned.
Zokur said the secretary general's speech on the body parts of "Israeli" soldiers after the Zionist regime's 33-day war in Lebanon in 2006 "has shocked the "Israeli" authorities like a thunder."
Zokur further quoted Nasrallah as saying that the Lebanese resistance movement is fully prepared to stand up against any Zionist aggressions.
He said: "The statements have strongly terrified "Israel"," and added, "Because of their crushing defeat in the former war, the Zionist authorities would no longer dare attack Lebanon."
"That's the best proof of "Israel's" military failure and strengthening of Hizbullah's military might," he noted.
Zokur said that the Winograd Commission's report on the "Israeli" occupying army's humiliating defeat in war on Lebanon, which would be released soon, might force the Zionist Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to step down.
The commission is tasked with launching an in-depth inquiry into the "Israeli" Army's conduct during the war with Hizbullah.
To improve his government's image and to avoid collapse of his cabinet, Olmert has taken a series of measures such as swapping prisoners with the Palestinian and Lebanese parties.
