The "Israeli" "Globes" economic daily uncovered Wednesday that "the attempt to seal the water leak in the Leviathan 2 oil well is getting underway."
"In a few days, Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) will begin the direct intervention drilling to seal the water leak at the Leviathan 2 well, which was abandoned 15 months ago, due to a severe water leak," the daily revealed.

It further stated that "the Leviathan partners will spend $60 million in the effort to seal the leak using a much cheaper solution than the $200-300 million estimate by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources."
"Israeli" Ministry of Energy sources compared the Leviathan 2 leak with BP's Deepwater Horizon blowout that caused the ecological catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
The Ensco 5006 rig, owned by Ensco plc (NYSE: ESV) will carry out the attempt to seal the leak. This is the same rig that caused the leak in the well last year. After the incident, the rig, known as the Pride North America, changed its name, when Ensco acquired Pride International Inc. Noble Energy recently extended the lease of the rig through December 2013, despite the cost of $450,000 a day.
Drilling of the Leviathan 2 well began on March 15, 2011, to verify the size of the Leviathan natural gas reservoir, discovered four months earlier by the Sedco Express rig. Drilling was halted on May 8, at a depth of 4,548 meters, when the drill bit hit an unknown water pocket. All attempts to stop the leak of water into the borehole failed, and the well was abandoned.

The drillers said that the leak consisted of clean water, and that the incident occurred in strata hundreds of meters above the gas-bearing strata. Nonetheless, the "Israeli" Energy Ministry said that had the leak not been of water, but oil, the Zionist entity would have faced an ecological catastrophe on par with BP's disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
