’Israeli’ Economy Shrinks Due to Zionist Aggression on Seized Gaza in Summer

The "Israeli" economy contracted for the first time in more than five years in the third quarter as growth was hit by the effects of the Zionist aggression on seized Gaza in the summer.

Gross domestic product fell 0.4 percent in the July-September period, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Sunday. 

It was the first quarterly decline since a 0.2 percent drop in the first three months of 2009, at the outset of the global financial crisis.

The Bank of "Israel" had previously said growth in the quarter was likely to be zero or negative, due to the aggression - a time when many factories had sharply curtailed activity amid heavy rocket fire from seized Gaza while consumers opted to stay home.

"Israel" waged a 5-day aggression on seized in July until August, martyring more than 2,150 Palestinians, most of them civilians. It also left more than 11,000 injured and 100,000 homeless.
