Sayyed Nasrallahs Speech Attracts "Israeli" Media
Source: Al Manar TV, 25-03-2008
Each time Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivers a speech, he attracts 'Israeli' media which rushes to analyze his words and tries to read between the lines. Sayyed Nasrallah's speech, delivered on Monday during a commemoration ceremony marking the end of a 40-day mourning period for Islamic Resistance top commander martyr Imad Moghniyeh (Hajj Radwan), was on the front pages and the headlines of the news casts.
'Israeli' television said that security services are taking Sayyed Nasrallah's words seriously, while the Maariv daily said that his speech was scrutinized by the 'Israeli' Intelligence services adding that the speech suggests that Hizbullah will seek revenge for Moghniyeh's assassination without dragging 'Israel' into a war by not adopting publicly the retaliation.
Meanwhile, 'Israel' was kept on high alert fearing any retaliation from Hizbullah after the end of the 40-day mourning period for martyr Moghniyeh. And on Monday the 'Israeli' Counter Terrorism Bureau issued travel warnings and published a statement giving a general overview of the situation abroad. The Bureau emphasized that there was nothing new in these warnings but 'Israelis' abroad must be more alert.
First and most importantly, the Bureau recommends avoiding large gatherings of 'Israelis'. In addition the Bureau accentuated its warning regarding possible attempts to capture 'Israelis' abroad, especially businessmen who have dealings with Arab or Muslim businessmen.
'Israeli' papers also focused on an 'Israeli' non-commissioned officer (NCO) who was arrested about a month ago by the Galilee Sub-District's central police unit for suspicion of disclosing sensitive information regarding 'Israel's' military activity to Hizbullah.
'Israeli' daily Yediot Aharonot said that this incident shows that Hizbullah is exerting extra efforts inside 'Israel' and is using espionage methods that match the Mossad's. The daily added that the problem is Hizbullah's success in penetrating the 'Israeli' army again, wondering whether Hizbullah has already succeeded in planting spies who are undisclosed yet.
